Research, Evaluation & Insight Generation
We conduct in-depth research, formative evaluations, and generate actionable insights to inform decision-making at all levels. Our evaluations provide data-driven insights that improve service effectiveness and drive long-term impact.
Supporting the community sector to demonstrate their social impact
As the government shifts to a social investment approach, community organisations and social service providers face growing expectations to demonstrate their effectiveness and impact. Powerdigm is leading a project to help the community sector get ahead of these changes and confidently tell their stories of social impact.
While there is a wealth of material on social impact, evaluation, and building a case for investment much of the language used is not well-suited to smaller, local initiatives. To truly reflect Aotearoa’s unique context, these resources also need to align with Mātauranga Māori and Pacific knowledge systems.
Our project aims to simplify and bring these resources together into step-by-step tools designed specifically for community and small organisations. These resources are designed to enable local initiatives in clarifying goals, sharing their impact, and demonstrating the social value of their mahi in a way that reflects their contribution to community wellbeing.
Generously funded by the JR McKenzie Trust and Todd Foundation, all resources will be open-source and shared widely at no cost to the community sector.
